Designer Mosaic Table

For this work I teamed up with a local metal work artist. Together we designed the metal table with a grape, grapevine and grape leaf motif. For the half-round table top I applied an intricate basket weave pattern using gold, green and green/gold/copper Van Gogh glass to a 1/4' thick piece of clear glass. After filing the exposed edges I grouted the work in black. I next applied a clear, hard resin coating of Liquifusion to give the top a smooth feel without disturbing the mosaic look.
