Mosaic
Fireplace Surround in theme of English Cottage
For
this commissioned mosaic project we started with some idea
concepts provided by our client (English cottage, sheep dog,
sheep, eagle, sailboats, robins, roses, etc.). Saundra translated
these ideas into an artist rendering (see below). Next the
mosaic artisans hand-cut glass tiles to create the design
and added hand-crafted design elements in fused glass. Our
mosaic work was mounted and pre-grouted on 1/4" tileboard
panels shaped to fit the surround area.
